We might be in coming up to the end of this years Edinburgh Fringe Festival but don’t let those blues set in just yet as Edinburgh likes to throw a few encore festivals out there. Here a few festivals that you might want to go and check out in the next coming weeks.
Edinburgh Mela Festival:Sat 31st August -Sunday 1st August

This festival offer the chance to experience the best contemporary Scottish artists in the context of exhibitions of the most important international and movements of the 20th century and historical periods.
Edinburgh International Book Festival: 10th August – 26th August
An important feature of the Book Festival’s programme is a high profile debates and discussions series. Each year writers from all over the world gather to become part of this unique forum in which audience and author meet to exchange thoughts and opinions on some of the world’s most pressing issues.
Running alongside the general programme is the highly regarded Children’s Programme, which has grown to become a leading showcase for children’s writers and illustrators. Incorporating workshops, storytelling, panel discussions, author events and book signings, the Children’s Programme is popular with both the public and schools alike and now ranks as the world’s premier books and reading event for young people.
Edinburgh International Festival 9th August – 1st September
